Reminder: Two Incorrect Ways to Place Your Scale – and a Critical First Step!
Please avoid the following two common placement mistakes:
❌ Placing the scale on an uneven or tilted surface
❌ Placing the scale on a soft or unsteady surface (such as a carpet, rug, or foam mat)
However, most importantly – when you receive your scale, you MUST first remove the 4 white shipping pads located at the bottom of the scale.
These pads are installed only for protection during transportation. If they are not removed before use, the scale cannot balance properly, and the readings will never stabilize!
✅ Correct action:
Turn the scale over.
Remove all 4 white pads.
Place the scale on a hard, flat, and level surface before powering on.
Failure to remove the shipping pads will result in inaccurate and unstable readings – even if everything else is correct!

✅ Correct Way: Always set your scale on a hard, flat, and level surface (such as tile, concrete, or a solid wooden bench). This allows the sensors to stabilize and ensures consistent, repeatable readings.
Tip: If your scale has adjustable feet or a bubble level, adjust them until the bubble is centered before each use.

The drip tray of an espresso machine (especially if not perfectly level).
Espresso machines with vibration pumps.
