How to make sure your car system?
1.Press "Setup" or "Menu" button on the radio
2.Go to "Settings"
3.Scroll down to ""Version Information"
4.Look for first letters and numbers of software version

and if your car have aux or ami port,if yes,you will need connect the aux/ami cable to active sound
for sound probelm,you will need connect the device bluetooth,then back origianl menu to choose external audio input
